Monocle is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Consultant. As a Consultant at Monocle your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Play a leading support role in the delivery of large projects. This may include project management related activities like creating a product roadmap, setting up project governance structures and driving the delivery of multi-disciplinary teams.

Act as a subject matter expert and trusted consultant to Monocles clients in areas of domain expertise. Expertise in any of the following domains is highly beneficial: Banking Risk, Treasury & Capital Management, Financial Crime, or Credit (Full lifecycle).

Designing and implementing dashboards and management reports, generally using Power BI.

Solving complex problems in the banking industry.

Conducting Business Analysis to elicit user requirements and document these in support of technical development.

Perform Data Analysis, particularly in support of technical project implementations where the consultant may be required to develop an understanding of complex datasets and perform thorough data reconciliations.

Identify process inefficiencies and propose and implement improvements to these processes. This may include, but is not limited to, automation through technology.

Taking responsibility for own delivery and contribution on projects.

Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with clients at all levels of the organization.

Engage with senior stakeholders in a mature and respectful manner.
We are looking for individuals with:
-
A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, or Data Sciences, with strong preference for a post graduate qualification.
-
Nice to have designations: FRM, CA(SA), CIMA, CFA.
-
A combination of these technical skills will be beneficial - Data Analysis, power BI, SQL, Python, Advanced Excel, AWS Redshift
-
3 years or more relevant experience in:
-
Banking,
-
Asset Management, or
-
Insurance.

Experience Requirements:
Experience in any of the below domains will be highly advantageous.

Financial Crime (AML or Fraud) or legal compliance in the financial services sector. This would ideally be in either a second-line oversight capacity, or in the development of systems, processes and frameworks for Financial Crime management.

Treasury, especially funds transfer pricing or asset/liability management. This may include specific design and modelling experience in developing these functions, or practical experience in the day-to-day management of these processes.

Risk Management in a banking context (Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk, Market Risk, or Operational Risk). Ideally this experience will be in a second-line function and would include the development of risk management processes, or the implementation of risk systems and tools.

Business Analysis in a Financial Services company. It would be particularly useful if the candidate has experience in defining business requirements in an Agile project management context.

Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, particularly where the candidate acted as a trusted advisor. This may include previous experience as a management consultant, auditor, or other professional services role.
